I know this video is a year old but I have got to say: This was actually incredibly inspiring. Like underneath the tongue-in-cheekieness, which was highly entertaining, the points made where one could save money for exactly the same thing, to the "dont give up on yourself," bit made me want to uh... what's that thing that other awesome weirdo mini painter guy says? Oh yeah. It made want toooOOOO PAINT MORE MINIS!!!!

Noob question - there is no varnishing step before the enamel wash, I thought they were essential before using enamels?

Citadel black is the best primer in my opinion. The pressure is awesome till the end and the color works. In my local shop it costs 17€ and it last very long, a whole army with 1500points to be precise.

Bought my first none GW models yesterday, just to paint them for fun. I cant wait. I got burnt out trying to army paint, doing the same thing over and over again and trying to keep up with the the meta (my LGS was full of competitive players, so you came up against strong armies every week) and I just don't have the desire any more. From now on I'm only going to paint minis for fun and for me, not war games. I may paint a Tau army over time. Does any one have any good websites for alternative models and busts? Ideally fantasy or sci-fi.

This Grimdark excuse to make models look like crap and get view really pisses me off. I served in the military and deployed are gear and cammies and weapons would never end up looking like this. This is neglect not wear, battle damage or like you've been fighting from a muddy bomb crater. The Chaplain and or Techmarine would have a field day with this POS Marine.

Have you done a video about either how to build, or where to buy some nice paint storage solutions. I have both of the giant army painter kits, but would love a nice method to see them all and allow for more use of color pairs, and tones. Thanks, and gratz on the GD! Just looking at getting back into slaying some gray!

I don't know the real truth of this but I saw a video where a guy was testing different primers that he was going to paint with Army Painter speedpaints 2.0. The Rust-Oleum stuff had real bad cracking of the speedpaint. Maybe this is a video idea for you to do as well.

Hm, I have one of those boxes - but I was just gonna go for a boring bone colour and then some fancy colours - but I love what you did with the character skeleton.

I really enjoyed painting Magnus the Red compared to the smaller stuff.

How do you stop the reduction process removing the paint underneath the enamel?

I'm sure I'm not the first to say it but you gotta get some makeup sponges for the removal step of enamel or oil washes. You can get some more interesting and sharp edged contact points and the sponges don't run the risk of leaving stray fibers behind that you need to clean up. They're just as cheap as cotton swabs and very satisfying to use.

I physically cannot contain it. It’s too light for my brain to believe it’s an ultramarine. Even with very heavy lighting in mind.

I love your channel, but I disagree here. Do you know anything about Ultramarines? There's no way they'd allow rust on their armor. Battle damage and mud is fine, but rust? Nope.

That in no way looks like an ultramarine.. The hues of the blue is completely wrong..

I love painting in grim dark with oils. As a working adult, I find that I don't have the time to flex the hobby muscles consistently. A painting style that encourages messier highlights and a process that I can stop and start again is great !!
